Policy on high-efficiency motor and related equipment with warm-air power demand of nearly 100 billion yuan

It is reported that the large use of inefficient motors causes a huge waste of electricity. For every percentage point increase in motor energy efficiency in the industrial field, about 26 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity can be saved annually. By promoting efficient motors, eliminating inefficient motors, remanufacturing inefficient motors efficiently, and matching and energy-saving transformation of the motor system according to its load characteristics and operating conditions, the efficiency of the motor system can be improved by 5 to 8 percentage points as a whole, and the annual energy saving can be achieved from 130 billion to 230 billion kWh, equivalent to the power generation of two or three Three Gorges power stations.
Industry insiders believe that with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology subsidizing energy-saving transformation of motor systems nationwide, the market demand for high-efficiency motors will gradually release, increasing year by year. According to the clear plan of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, 170 million kilowatts of high-efficiency motors will be promoted in the next three years and 100 million kilowatts of energy-saving technical renovation of motor systems will be implemented. Based on this, the demand for high-efficiency motors and related equipment is estimated to be close to 100 billion yuan.
From the industrial point of view, the main high-efficiency motor enterprises will naturally benefit directly from this plan, while the suppliers of key supporting materials upstream of high-efficiency motor will also benefit a lot, such as insulating materials, silicon steel sheets, transistors, etc.
